Welcome to my blog/travel guide. Take a look around, you never know what you might find!
I went from a truck driver in New York, to an astrophysicist in New Mexico. I travel as much as I can with my wonderful wife and a twelve year old Chihuahua. I’m always looking for new adventures and I enjoy sharing travel tales and tips.
Moving out West has opened our eyes to the brilliance of outdoor exploration and the peace, relief, and inspiration that the natural wonders of this world offer. I grew up constantly trekking through and camping in Allegany State Park in South-West New York and in Algonquin Provincial Park in eastern Ontario, Canada, so nature has always played an important role in my life, and has been a vital contributor to the person I am. Beauty, grandeur, and splendor blanket this country from sea for shining sea, but so many of us hardly know what lies in our own back yards. I hope to shine some light on the vast number of overlooked treasures that you may not have ever even heard of. My bucket list has over five hundred destinations on it, yet I discover a new one nearly every day, so if you think there’s nothing left for you to see, then you’re not trying. This planet we live on is littered with exciting and inspiring adventures to be had, so quit making excuses and get out and see it. All of it.
*Almost everywhere we go is accessible by car. A handful of places require 4WD, but most do not. We camp in a tent whenever possible, or we find cheap locally-owned motels and hotels.
If you have questions, concerns, or tips of your own send them our way.
